Somewhere in the southeast corner of Texas, there’s a town called Kirbyville where the ambient acoustic guitar trio known as, A Well Of Quiet Voices, calls home.
Almost twenty years ago, founding members Jesse Arsement (vocals, percussion) and James Phelps (guitar, vocals) met at a show where their respective bands were performing. That serendipity eventually cast one final spell on Dustin Whitmore (guitars, vocals), completing the triad of musical spirit.
Previous projects include 2018’s single, Superhero, as a prelude to this year’s full-length debut album, the self-titled, A Well Of Quiet Voices, an ambient and beautifully melancholy body of acoustic work. The outstanding and sound-defining lead-off instrumental single, Something More, is a refreshingly minimalist track, with little more than a light and airy finger-picked melody, accompanied by an equally delicately-picked lead. It is the space between the notes which matters as much as the notes themselves, and these boys have figured that out. Listen now, below.
