L.A. based singer-songwriter Aaron Andreu is an up-and-coming artist to watch in the Latin rock music scene. Andreu released his last EP Luna in May of 2021, and this month has released a follow-up single. This track, titled Desde el Vientre, features David Galvan on electric guitar.
Driving percussion and strummy guitars lead this single, interspersed with warm and melodic electric guitar riffs that add welcome sonic texture. Andreu’s voice is rich and smoky, full of power and authenticity that is undoubtedly one of this track’s highlights. The guitar solo from Galvan at the two-minute mark is gritty, soulful, and a perfect mix of technicality and feel. Comparisons might be drawn to the likes of The Goo Goo Dolls at times – there are hints of pop catchiness in the melody, but still plenty of fire and soul to keep this track grounded in the rock genre.
This is sincere, powerful, authentic rock music. You don’t need to speak Spanish to hear the passion in Aaron Andreu‘s voice in this track. If Latin pop/rock music is a genre you enjoy, then this single is undoubtedly going to resonate with you. Take a listen to Desde el Vientre below.
