The Bourquin brothers, Chad (guitar, vocals) and Bret (bass, vocals) stumbled through their own respective musical journeys for years, playing with other bands in other genres, before realizing that the wholesome, warm-hearted chemistry they’d been searching for all along was at home, in the blood.
Since forming Big Time Grain Co., the Kansas City-based duo (by way of Colby, KS) has toured in Colorado, Iowa, Oklahoma, Michigan, Ohio and Nebraska in support of their soulful, country melodies. And, when they’re not busy on the road, they also mentor up-and-coming indy-artists with the intention of helping them avoid common, cliche mistakes while navigating the notoriously vicious music industry.
“The fortune and fame is just a game, without you.”
Their previous efforts include 2016’s 100lbs Net Weight – EP, as well as 2018’s 401K – Ep as preludes to their latest single, the cathartic and sentimental, Sunday Morning.
Straight out of the Randy Travis-era of Country music, the twang of Fender Tele’s unites with a country-road-style rhythm, and the unmistakable Bourquin brothers timbre to create that kind of good-hearted, truth-telling music that quenches your thirst so quickly and so completely, that you’re left wondering how you couldn’t possibly have noticed how thirsty you were.
