Label-owner Monique Grimme plants her new single with Sapphire Star Studios, “Poison Ivy” in second place – an ‘80s-style song edged with Fleetwood Mac inspirations; thick with moonlit midnight vibes and a creeping metaphor for toxic love.
Lyia Meta’s “We Are Lords” lands like an atom bomb; a gothic rock / metal track powered by a charging beat and chugging guitars, crowned by vocals halfway between batwinged operatics and Metallica. A symphonic interlude takes wing, feathered with mystery before a searing, smokey solo unfolds to a black metal transition.

“Bleed For The Truth” by FICTION SYXX unleashes like a bold and brave heavy metal anthem, woven with a tapestry of searing guitar solos steeped in ‘80s influences, powerhouse choruses and impassioned vocals; this band’s guitarists come in serious need of a chill pill, but that’s exactly what makes this song so entertaining to listen to.
Tom Keifer’s “All Amped Up” follows the flawless retro rock vibe; epic hair metal vocals an instant flashback proving that great, authentic rock music still exists if you just dig deep enough. This tune carries the smell of beer-splattered black leather, summer barbeques and cigarette smoke, the Keifer Band showing the alternate side to Nashville’s current msuic scene.
Monique Grimme closes Bongo Boy TV’s latest episode with “Cut By A Rose”; a silky, late-night ballad with vocals like Stevie Nicks, re-exploring the intoxicating, poison garden theme of her previous hit.
