Bongo Boy Records’ latest episode of their music TV show, Bongo Boy TV, has landed with a patriotic twist as the label joins the nation in celebrating 250 Years of America. Packing seven brand new music videos into 28 minutes, Bongo Boy Records are truly including something for every genre-listener to adore as summer slowly rolls on and gets us all celebrating our values, pride and devotion to a free world and all its surprises.
Ann M. Wolf kicks off S15 E7 with a sparkling reimagination of the US national anthem; a track titled “And Our Flag Was Still There” echoing with traditional, atmospheric symphonics as if you’re standing front-row at an all-star ball game.
Studeo steals the second slot with “See What I See” – a song for all you NASA nerds out there as its space exploration music video paints out the synth-pop song’s lyrics of distance, longing and adventure.
The Ex-Bombers utterly disrupt Bongo Boy TV’s (up until this point) soft and soothing compilation; their hard rock/punk hit “In Music City” becoming an instant show-stealer dripping with feral energy, feel-good recklessness and, in the 250 Years of America context, the wild surprises which spawn once an artist embraces their freedom of speech, their freedom to create what they please, and totally lets loose in the process.
Ann M. Wolf snatches an extra appearance with “We Shall Overcome” – a track as sentimental, inspiring and empowering as its title suggests; the episode making a sharp turn back towards traditional American music with a cinematic edge.
Kobi Arad, Charlie Sabach and Kiki Valera’s “Initiation ‘א’’” throws listeners straight into the restless heart of the avant-garde, oud, Iranian kamancheh and Cuban cuatro coiling into a fusion sound hardly ever experienced before. Underneath runs a single thread of unity, stretching from medieval Baghdad to Andalusia and dedicated to the people of Iran.

Ann M. Wolf wraps up this episode with “Time in the Journey of the Soul” – her final addition a world away from her heartwarming tracks featured earlier on.
