We’re instant fans of this track, as C.R. Knight steps us back in time with soft disco-infused backing vocals, his track woven with hints of soul and R&B to craft an atmosphere just like the ‘70s. But it doesn’t sound dated at all; it’s a fresh break from the chaos of modern pop, a wholesome glimpse of music as it used to, and should, be written: from the heart.
As an Arkansas-born and raised musician, it’s not surprising to find a curious selection of country-inspired guitar licks meandering beneath C.R. Knight’s steamy lyrics, glossing another layer of vibrant authenticity over this single.
