Raymo and Rich were never supposed to be doing this together. It was never supposed to happen this way. Well, not together anyway.
Friends since their thundering (i.e., partying) years, Rich has been working the club floors from Splendour In The Grass music festival in Australia, to Greenwood in London.
Raymo, on the other-hand, needed some time to come around to his sonic aspirations. Once his mind was made up, the duo made it official in 2017: it was time to make music. Thus, Sydney, Australia’s RaR was born.
While simultaneously wielding their talents on Abelton, their new single, Darkness, features the vocal explosions of one Elizabeth Robinson. And, contrary to what its name might imply, the track is a bright and inspiring piece of EDM, reminiscent of the club techno prevalent in the late 90s to early 2000s. (I spent some time in Mexico back in the day.)
“Richard and Raymo have come together to create sounds, create music, in hopes of getting all of our listeners to move, to dance, and to live life.”
All in all, the 4-minute Darkness offers an encouraging and anticipatory glimpse into a potentially rich future for this new electro-tagteam.
Whose lovechild..?
