One of our favorite indie musicians has just popped back onto our radar. An artist whose music we’ve unabashedly described as, “…accessible and intriguing storytelling…”, and, “…uncomplicated yet masterful musicianship…”. These words have been well-earned by the New York City-based singer-songwriter and 6-string smith, Steven Blane, a musical troubadour who’s kept his sonic craft close to the heart, spanning decades.
Among some of his collective works are 2014’s Gonna Light the Lights Tonight (single), 2015’s Taboo, and 2016’s The Best of Steven Blane (So Far), and I Confess, 2017’s The Shed Sessions, and 2018’s Motel Blue.
Getting a healthy jump on the holidays, Blane has just released his single, First Christmas, an effervescently light and jazzy retooling of the holiday spirit, and a celebration of firsts with a new love. Be sure to stick around for the sparkling sax finale…
