The nostalgic guitar-centric, hairband shreddings of Denver, Colorado’s very own, Straight Six, are clear about their purpose and intention: to let you all know that Rock’n’Roll is alive and well.
Featuring the veteran rock stylings of Glen Drieth (bass), Joey Shapiro (drums), Eric Schaudies (guitar), and Jay Quintana (vocals), the boys have recently released their aptly titled debut album, Full Circle, a raucous ode to metal days long past—and those yet to come.
For the album’s lead-off single, Back Home, the formula is as simple as its purveyors are skilled: distorted guitars + pounding drums & bass + a multi-octave-capable vocalist = a track which is deeply, respectfully, and instantly reminiscent of glam-band superstars such as Poison, Van Halen, Warrent, Alice Cooper, AC/DC, and so many more. What’s more, the same can be said for the rest of the album.
