The central Florida-based hip-hop trio known as, Anechoic Birds, took up the song craft as a way of expressing the inherent freedom each of them feels inside.
With the intention to share the perspective of the “forgotten & disregarded man”, William (a.k.a., Willywill The Poet—rapper, business & marketing), David (a.k.a., David B Boy Blessing—lead-rapper, production), and Jossette (singing, photography & acting) have already released a number of singles which include Floetics, Today I Struggle, Your Music Is Trash, and much more.

Their latest single, Upping Your Town, is a flex track which vibes for recognition and respect. Like a taoist balance, Willywill’s gruff Killer Mike-esque timbre fits like hand-in-glove with Blessing’s smooth French Montana-like flow. The production is abrupt and mechanical. A video shot in a iron foundry with molten metal flowing everywhere would fit the mood and delivery.
But most importantly, the fellas are not new to the music. The rhymes are tight, well written, and well enunciated. They’ve practiced and it shows. This is a strong single. Check out Upping Your Town below…
