Originally from Boston but now based out of Dover, NH, solo artist Lew Daddy is a jack of all trades. He does all of his own recording and mixing for his work in house at Bleu Records Ent. So far his catalog contains two albums, Boss (2019) and most recently Me 7, released this year.
Me 7 is full of high notes, including a range of featured artists providing additional vocals that add a great amount of variety. From track to track, there’s a great mix of intense and fervent numbers, as well as a selection of more laid back songs that show off Lew Daddy’s range as a hip-hop artist. It’s all tied together with solid production choices that help to highlight the stories being told, leaving room for the songs themselves to be the focal point.
A track that particularly stands out is Thinking About You, which combines Lew Daddy’s heavy-hitting rap style with a gorgeous female melodic hook. The contrast between these two major sections and the overall balance in this song makes it a highlight of the album without question.
Overall there is great energy and show of skill across the board on Me 7. For fans of modern hip-hop with strong melodies where it counts, take a listen to Lew Daddy‘s latest release. These noteworthy tunes are well executed and have great, high-level production – we think they’ll be finding their way onto your playlists in no time.
