Queens NY-based hip-hop/R&B artists and blood-brothers, Hollow and Hero, were first and foremost influenced by their oldest brother, Disturb, a local underground hip-hop legend from the 90’s.
Uniting to form their own group, NYM (New York Minute), this moniker pays homage to the intense and fast-paced lifestyle required to survive in the Big Apple.
“We are from New York City and live a rapid lifestyle, so we wanted to let the world know our story.”
With hip-hop flows provided by Hollow, and music and singing by Hero, these two are preparing to launch their debut LP, The Way You Move, in 2020. Until then, we are graced with their debut, lead-off single, the silky-smooth banger, Body On Me.
Hollow and Hero have clearly spent some time in the lab, as this track was scientifically engineered to make your body move. An EDM-style synth loop rides a classic kick and clap, all culminating to form something immediately reminiscent of iconic 90’s acts such as 112, Dru Hill, Ginuwine, Fabolous and others. It’s a blueprint club track which instantly became a contender for our 2020 Top 10 list. Check it out below.
