Austin, Texas-based singer-songwriter, guitarist, poet-philosopher and shaman known as, Tommy Rebel, has spent his life chasing music and dreams.
“Rock music is an open letter to the universe… socially conscious, dynamic and rebellious!”
—Tommy Rebel
Now, with skilled and faithful band-members Rollie White (drums), and Naer Lin (bass), completing Tommy Rebel and the Righteous, he’s set to making a bit of his own music, which includes the singles, Don’t Blame It On The Weed, Fellow Man, and his most recent piece, Torn Heart.
Smooth 80’s/early 90’s-style electric riffs and a tight rhythm section create the best of both worlds as Torn Heart feeds the heart—as well as the mind’s need to rock—with its socially-conscious theme which ultimately asks one tough question: Is there anything whatsoever that you wouldn’t do to protect your child?
“I needed the money, and I needed it quick
I’d lost one child, and the other was sick
I couldn’t afford the medication
I turned to the wisdom I found in a gun
…you feel nothin’ when your heart gets torn…”
