The Miami–Nashville-based Country-Pop-Rock outfit known as, Tell Her I Love Her, is a bit of a mystery. Rather than flooding their online resources with bio’s and band info, they’ve opted to remove their individual identities from the equation, and simply let their music do the talking. It’s a brave and risky move. We respect that.
“We sought to tell a story of one of the many forms that love takes.”
Love being their principal focal point, the band states on their website that, “…their songs seek to capture the timelessness of all human relationships.” And, with previous titles such as, 2017’s First Date (EP), Comeback (single), Always About a Girl (single), The Joneses (single), and 2018’s Dream Away the Lonely (single), the proof is in the pudding.
Their latest effort, the single, Dancing With Dakota, takes a unique and creative look at the relationship between a sincerely lonely man—Eddy, and an exotic dancer struggling to make ends meet—Dakota, with whom he’s fallen in love. Eddy dreams of being with her for real, and one day has the courage to make his move, only to be tenderly denied…
“You know I really like you, but let me make this clear”
“We’ve got something special, but it only works in here…”
Flawless production, layers of both ambient and rock guitars, legit vocal prowess, and that uniquely compelling story-line all culminate to create a radio-ready and worthwhile summertime anthem of desire and heartbreak.
